Our first guests at our vacation home on the tidal creek arrived in late March, 2006 and since then we have had many guests. We enjoy meeting our guests from all over the United States and beyond. Many of them have
shared their experiences in our guest book. The following are excerpts from some of their comments. We only regretwe don't have room here to include all of them.
March, 2006 "We feel honored to be the first 'renters' of Windfall Creekside. We've had a wonderful vacation-walking, biking along the beach, relaxing and a great boat ride. We will certainly be referring people to this beautiful, peaceful 'retreat'. You have done an amazing job decorating and renovating this house." The Thorlakson family- Canada April, 2006 "Thank you for a wonderful time. This place a beautiful charming retreat. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. Go Steelers!" The Koppel Family, Georgia ( formerly from Pittsburgh) April, 2006 "What a wonderful time we have had this week at Windfall Creekside! All three of us have fallen in love with the marsh and your lovely cottage. You both went 'way beyond the call of duty... and made us feel right at home here on Tybee". The Swift Family- Georgia May, 2006 What a wonderful time enjoyed by all! Your home is lovely. Thanks so much. The McDaniels Family-Kentucky June, 2006 What a treat to stay at Windfall Creekside. We thoroughly enjoyed the kayak lessons Tybee was a wonderful place to visit especially with the special touches of our hosts, John and Sandy. The McDaniels Family- Kentucky July, 2006 We enjoyed our stay in the cottage! It’s a “home away from home.” We are already planning a trip for Red fishing. Hope to see you again soon. The Gammon Family- SC July, 2006 Thank you John and Sandy! We have vacationed on Tybee for the past 4 years and we’re so lucky to find your cottage! It was like home- all the comforts plus tons of Tybee charm. We’ll be back same time next year! Kayaks and bikes were great! The Nixon Family- Connecticut August, 2006 We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. Everything was perfect, the weather, the beach, dining out, etc. We met some very nice people, both natives and vacationers. It would be great if our daughter went to school in Savannah so we could stay at Windfall Creekside again. Thank you for having such a lovely place. Hope to see you next year. The Kispert Family- New York Sept, 2006 Our 32nd Wedding Anniversary. We were so pleased with the cottage and the creek. Our last night we spent with a fire and a bottle of wine. What a way to relax and get rid of stress. All was appreciated. We will not forget our Savannah visit. Thank you both. The Hickmans- Tennessee October, 2006 Thank you for making our stay on Tybee a wonderful experience. The house was so charming and inviting. Our wedding went off without a hitch, no doubt in part to your hospitality. We look forward to coming back for many years to come. The Price Family- Tennesee October, 2006 In ‘Treasure Island’ , Billy Bones is given a map whilst he is in Savannah, where x marks the location of buried treasure. How could Robert Louis Stevenson have known of the existence of Windfall Creekside? There is native a plenty outside of this house but inside is a plethora of all the comforts one expects of a home-and what better compliment can a guest pay to a host. On the walls of the Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh, there is a famous Celtic saying. Translated it reads: “Say little, but what little you do say, say well.” Windfall Creekside does just that. The O’Donnell Family- England, U.K. November, 2006 Bikes and kayaks. Oh my! Life is good. Thank you for a wonderful getaway. The Mayda guests Michigan February, 2007 This was a fantastic place for our family. We all love the peaceful setting and warm décor. We loved kayaking and even were lucky enough to see 3 dolphins swimming by us. What an experience. We appreciate the hospitality and hope to be back this time next year. The Presley Family Georgia March, 2007 Thank you for this extra-special place! I really enjoyed it and I am sorry I could not stay longer. You have thought of everything. The Chadowski Family New York March, 2007 We were the first people to rent this beautiful cottage, now we’re the first to use the hot tub! What a nice added bonus… We had such amazing hot weather and had so much fun biking on the beach, kayaking, walking and just relaxing by the creek. Thank you again Sandy and John for taking such wonderful care of us. Our son (now 17 months old) had a blast exploring all around the yard and playing in the sand box. It was so great to join my son, daughter-in-law and grandson in your wonderful cottage by the marsh. I’d heard so much about it from them, and it met all my expectations and more. Thank you for your warm hospitality. I enjoyed all the wonderful experiences here, but my absolute favorite was biking on the beach. The Thorlakson Family Manitoba, Canada but living in Atlanta plus Winnipeg Canada March, 2007 Thank you so much. We loved the beautiful little beach home! It went by so fast! Hoping to come back next year. Loved kayaking and playing on the beach. It is gorgeous and we all loved it. The Long kids Atlanta April, 2007 We are so glad we found Windfall Creekside! This home was perfect for a perfect spring break. The home had a nice welcoming feeling every time we walked in. I don’t know how we fit so many activities in just a couple of days. Thank you so much…we will definitely be back soon. Thank you, Taren As stated before, pictures just do not do this wonderful cottage justice. We were very fortunate with the weather so our time here was limited but when we did arrive back ... we were “home”. Look forward to returning soon. Thank you for the hospitality!
